Evidence Based Practices
We shall use every resource, including referral when appropriate, to ensure high quality services are accessible and are provided to children and families. All children and families should be aware of service available for them. Especially if a child has special needs and some additional services are needed. When a child has a suspected problem there should be no hesitation in activating a referral for additional support. When a family needs support in any way we need to make sure that they are aware of all the resources available.
Responsive Family Centered Practices
We shall provide services and supports to children and families in a fair and equitable manner while respecting families’ culture, race, language, socioeconomic status, marital status, and sexual orientation. All children, and all families should be treated the same, provided resources the same and respected the same regardless of their status or choices.
PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT AND PREPARATION
We shall be responsible for maintaining the appropriate national, state, or other credential or licensure requirements for the services we provide while maintaining our competence in practice and research by ongoing participation in professional development and education activities. We as child care professionals should keep abreast of all requirements in order keep of programs active with state and local requirements. We also should maintain an ongoing knowledge of best practices by attending conferences, sharing with other professionals, reading educational articles etc.

I think it is our responseablity as professional in the ealry childhood field to make sure we are doing everything in our power to help these children. We should not only help the child, but the families. We should hold our selves to the highest standards. This is why I agree with every code you choose.
I believe that we must use each available resources that we have to help our families. I also believe that in order to service our families better than we must contiune to educate ourselves in order to provide them with the most current and updated services that our government and private foundations have to offer.
